polyurethane paints
PU Coat – Single Component is a type of protective coating used as a covering layer on various surfaces to protect them and maintain their quality for a longer period.
This layer creates a strong and durable membrane that prevents harmful influences from reaching the surface directly, such as harsh weather factors (sunlight, rain, humidity), in addition to protecting it from corrosion resulting from friction or continuous use.
What are polyurethane paints?
Polyurethane paints are a modern and advanced type of paint used to cover and protect various surfaces. They are characterized by their strength and durability, forming a solid yet flexible layer, making them able to resist corrosion, scratches, and weather factors such as humidity, sunlight, and heat. PU Coat – Single Component polyurethane paints are an ideal choice for use in buildings, industrial and commercial facilities, and even on floors and furniture, as they provide an elegant aesthetic appearance in addition to their primary function of protecting and extending the life of surfaces.
Advantages of polyurethane paints in insulation and protection
Polyurethane foam is a distinctive material that has gained widespread popularity in many industries thanks to its unique properties. It boasts a high thermal insulation capacity, making it ideal for use in buildings and equipment. Other advantages include:
- Strong thermal insulation maintains temperatures and reduces energy consumption.
- Light weight making it easy to use in various applications.
- Sound insulator reduces transmission of noise and vibration.
- Flexible, expands and contracts to resist mechanical stresses.
- Corrosion resistant and withstands weather and environmental factors.
- Easy to shape and color to suit a variety of purposes.
- Chemically stable and resistant to chemicals and oils.
- Long lasting, maintains its essential properties for extended periods.
Our professional steps in implementing polyurethane paints
There are basic steps to follow when insulating surfaces with PU Coat – Single Component paints. This requires precision to ensure the insulation's efficiency and durability. The process is carried out in two main stages:
- The first stage is surface preparation:
- Sand corroded or rusted parts with a brush or electric sander.
- Clean the surface thoroughly from dust, oils and grease using hand or mechanical tools.
- Stage 2: Isolation:
- Adjust the spraying machine in terms of temperature and pressure and heat it to (40-50) degrees Celsius.
- Prepare the spray tools and start applying a layer of polyurethane foam with a thickness of about 3 cm.
- Spray the material in three stages, filling all gaps and voids.
- Cover the surface after completion to protect it from UV rays that may cause damage to the insulation.
